Welcome

Hello,

I hope to share and learn from each of you during this class. Not sure how a feel about putting information about me on the wire.

Just a little about me. The core of my life’s practice is faith and integrity. Through continuous self-improvement characterized by life long learning and teaching, I'll seek; 'to make it better than it was yesterday' in order to contribute to the well being of my family and the continuous growth and learning of all.

In the end, I hope the following can be said about my practice:
  • Faith in God
  • Great love for family
  • Always made it better than it was before...
  • Always saw the possible...
  • A 'fighter leader'...always by example.

Larry,

Hi there, good to 'meet' you!

Just a quick observation on blogs, you probably don't want to leave your profile as part of the header, because once you start posting it will get lost - maybe at the top of the sidebar would be a better location.

I love the gadgets you've got on the sidebar, I spent quite some time chasing them down! You might have to adjust the width of your sidebar to fit those in without having to scroll though.

Hello Larry,
I too am in your class so will provide some feedback on your blog.

My first impression of the black was that it was "very dark", but actually, your text is very easy to read. Mysterious, and goes with the theme of the day (spooky Halloween)

Do you think you will continue to use the blog? I think that this is just another way to take up someone's time unless this is part of their job or they are selling a product or service. It could become addicting if one liked sharing this information, and I could see this becoming a problem at work. Just like email. I am currently juggling three accounts, work, home and school. That is crazy!

Nice blog and I look forward to reading more.

Hello Larry,
Me again.
Just a word of note...I don't know if it in your control, but one of the links under your gadget of "pretty view of the day" is the link for "Hot girls". I haven't opened the link, so maybe it is of sweaty, hard-working girls, but....mmmm....probably not.
Can we decide which links go with our gadgets?

I found that if I modify the height of my gadget, it gets ride of the white-space so I doesn't show the links to which I have not control.

Good luck!

Hi Larry,
I have been very skeptical as well about posting personal information, so I try not to use too many names in searchable areas. You have to choose wisely about where to post and how much information to post. For Example, I recently joined Facebook, which seems to have several purposes. Some people put up A LOT of information, while other use it for networking or keeping in contact with old acquaintances. My age group(at least the people I know) seem to be late adopters, because not everyone I know is on it. I have 119 friends so far. My 17 year old cousin on the other hand has over 1200 friends.

As far as your blog site goes, I LOVE the watermarked image. It looks pretty sharp, and I like that I can get a good introduction from the first page, without needing to scroll to far.
